Dear Friend Guy. I am all O.K. Hope you are the same. I guess we took another notion we are not going to fix any box Fred has to go to dogtown to play ball and I don’t suppose he will bet back in time. There is to be a show and we thought we would rather go to it the boxes is to be sold before the show anyways. Yes! That will be early enough I will be ready against seven and you can come whenever you get ready. Sure Becca can go with us If I was her and you didn't take me I wouldn't get you anything to eat next week. I take my music lessen at 1 O'clock I guess I will ga and take it and come back home. I saw Fred to-day ha was working the roads over here. Yas Clarence is a good boy but I don’t know as I will go with him any more not while I am going with you. You needn't be afraid of me running off with him. I don’t think R--------had any right to get so made at me I 'm sure I wouldn't do the way she has done if she would go with either one of the fellows I have went with. She said I laughed at her that night of the show I never thought of such a thing and we didn't see her until she came in the sow and I didn't see her look at us then. No I don’t want to be around where she whass is I am with you I am not mad at her. I know it hurt her feelings I don’t want to do anything to hurt her. We will say no more about R------- I havant told you much se said some of it didn't sound very good you was in about such a fix as I got into a while back. I ust to think a whole lot of sombody too but that wore off I was like you I was too young. I hated it awful bad the way I used him. He always used me right. Well I am tired and sleepy and I guess I had bettar quit Good Bye Bye.

Mr. Guy Darrah Dear Friend.
I am all O.K. Hope you are the same. No the pop didn't kill me. I like chicken all right but not the way you got it. Maybe you didn't look good for R____ [Rose Pethel] I don’t know wether she is mad at you or not but I believe she is. She said she wasn't mad at me after she studdied the matter over she said I wasn't to blame. I have never said anything to her about what I said I would I promised not to say anything about it as long as she let me alone. What do you want me to say to R--I don't know anything bad to tell her. No I never read any of your letters all I heard she told me and I never asked her for it. She has never been over and says she is not a coming until I go over there. Yes I am game too I will bet with you. Mitchell didn't get them all. Yes I think she does care for one of them yet or did any way. I don’t believe any body asked R--- and Harrison to go Sun. did they. I enjoyed myself fine Sun. Yes turn about is fair play but I believe you got the worst of it. It was too bad for us to laugh at you but we couldn't help it. You will have to do like us girls done wear your old duds the next time ------------There is a show at town Sat. night and meating at the Mason school house. I am going to take music lesson Sat. and if any of the rest stays I will stay I don’t know what to tell you I haven't seen Mae this wk. I don't know where she is a going. I will try and finish this letter Herbert has gone to bed He is staying here now Grandpop is gone. I am like you I can't write and somebody bothering. Yes washing is a good exercise for anybody that was as old and stiff as I was that day-- will be at town Sat afternoon and if you are there we will see about it. If I don’t stay at town I will come back home.
This is all XXX Bye Bye. S. H. [Sweetheart] Isa
The last page was written using a mirror. It says "I don't know wether you were just kidding about that or not. But I do love you maybe too much if you get tired of me maybe I will get over it sometime."
[Isa then writes normal] I cant write that way pretty good I cant reat it myself and don’t expect you can. In the days when you are happy keep for me one little spot. In the depth of the affection plant one sweet For-get-me-not.
