Mr. Guy Darrah. My dear S.H. I guess I am still aliving but that is about all Hope you are all O.K. I guess you Boy's got off better than us girls this time. Mae was up to-day she said she laid in bed about all day yesterday. I felt like it but I had to work some. I think we will be all right against Sunday. I don’t want to go to the fair again soon. I was a bout all in when I got home and I felt tougher than ever yesterday I allow us girl's watched you boy's too much. You fellow's missed the best part of the fair you didn't get to see us riding on the Merry-go-round. Yes! I am coming up to Uncle's Sunday morn. I suppose you will be there. You must be sure and bring Beck along with you. I don’t suppose Mae will be there she said she had never been invited. She talked like if Fred would come they might come in the afternoon. I don’t think R---- wanted us to speak to her the other day or she didn't act like she did. If she got mad at me that Sunday she didn’t say anything about it any way. I don’t believe she has ever been in a good humor since we have been going to-gether. Or she never acted like it any way. I think at first she did try to turn me against you but she couldn't do it then and not any better now. When we talk we talk about something else and that is not very much. Her nor any body else can tell me anything that would turn me agains't you I think too much of you for that you have always used me nice. I don’t know what I could have wrote in that letter that made you feel down hearted. Am sorry that I done so. There is one thing sure she has no holt on me now or never will have. I am not telling you this to get you to go with me. I don’t want to force myself on no boy. I expect I will be at Amos when you get this am going down to take my other lesson. Well it is bed time and I am sleepy so Bye-Bye

I'll bet R.[Rose Pethel] would of went; But you see she dident like the compney very well and I cant help it can you; all I was a fraid of was that she would tell you a lot of tails on me and you would be ready to quit me; bt of course you know that I am not one of the best but then every body cant have the best Fred andI are pretty bad kids by spells; but I think we have got matches, (ha ha) and so what makes the difference; James tosed some pretty hot ones at me Sun. My dear S. H.
I am all O.K. Hope you are the same. Wouldn't you take me to another wedding dinner or supper if I would coax you right hard and promise not to look at the little boys. All I talked to them was when we went to start home. I don’t like little boys anyway I like big boys. I never heard weather James got back or not but I suppose he did. Jimmie will have to catch me before he can get me. You needn't be afraid I wouldn't forsake you in the cold winter time. Yes! I think R____ [Rose Pethel] was pretty hard on you but I don't care if she wont go with you this winter. I know she don’t like our company and I suppose that was the reason she wouldn't go. No! I cant help it if she don’t want to go with me she don’t have too. I would like to know what that was James told you Sunday. I don’t know maybe she has told him all she knew I don’t think she can tell me anything more than she has told me. Maybe you haint the best but you suit me all right. I think the best would be pretty hard o find don’t you. You got me there I thought we were good girls. I suppose that is when we are asleep thought. We got a pretty good joke on you boys alright. I don’t know wether I will go to town Sat. or not with out you go. I am a fraid Jimmie and Mitchell wouldn't be there and I wouldn’t get to see any of you. If you don’t go Sat. I will look for you then Saturday night. Well it is getting sleepy time so I will close.
Bye-Bye Ma'chere. Bye-Bye. XXXX

My Dear Sweet Heart. I am all O.K. and I guess you looked pretty good as I came past; did you see eny thing in the paper a bout me? No dident fall out of the apple tree ary time. I supose James is mad at the Teacher because she wont love him. If she would give him the teddy bear squeese he would be all right. I think I will give hime one some of these days. If I was comeing I might ans a few questions at noon or recess, but I couldant ans none out of the books. I think it would be a wise trick for Becca to pattern after us; well I reckon if we got our funeral preached it will be that Mitch less noise when we die; No I don’t think that is a very good name. I believe Peggie is a better name than that. I dident think of raising trouble. When I started with you for I dident think it was eny body elses business but I gess it must have been. O well just let them go to it we can stand it: but I hate to. Don’t you? At the best of my riccolection that will be in 1915. You aught to have been a little carefuler with that ring; Mae was telling me a Tues. that there was going to be a duenses at town Sunday night we will haft to go, wont we. I suppose I will get to talk to you be fore that time. I am working on a pipe line. I make a good Italiaian I think I will be in school in a bout 2 wks.
