2009 Wool Spinning Contest
The Central Florida Fair Spinning Contest is presented to encourage the production of
higher quality wool and provide an opportunity for producers and the public to learn more
about the characteristics of wool through the art of spinning.


Rules:
1. Spinners will spin for 30 minutes.
2. The yarn will be skeined and entered into one of the following classes:
3. All skeins will be measured for longest skein and judged for best overall skein in all
divisions.
4. Contestants may enter only one division
5. Contestants must bring their own spinning wheel or drop spindle. (A limited number of
drop spindles will be available for purchase during the workshop)
6. Carded wool will be provided.
7. Contestants are also encouraged to bring a niddy-noddy for skeining finished yarn.

    YSWREG - Youth Spinning Wheel
    YDSREG - Youth Drop Spindle
    ASWREG - Adult Spinning Wheel
    ADSREG - Adult Drop Spindle
